In Tics Towards Perfection, Alex explores his lifelong obsession with being the “best version” of himself—how it has shaped his life and whether perfection is even possible. Through his signature self-deprecating humor, he delves into the way society perceives queer, disabled, and neurodiverse communities, while also confronting his own self-image. The result? A show that is heartwarming, emotional, and, above all, absolutely hilarious.

Who is Alex Mitchell?
A queer, autistic comic with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Alex grew up in Yorkshire after being born in Bedford. His stand-up blends honesty, vulnerability, and razor-sharp punchlines, using humor to tackle complex topics like disability, neurodiversity, and sexuality. Before his BGT success, Alex had already made waves on the UK comedy circuit, winning titles like:
