Event Description
There are many traditional skills and crafts that now have few people with a working knowledge of them. During this weekend we will bring together a range of craftspeople who practice different skills and offer the opportunity to see many skills first hand, with displays and demonstrations of the tools and skills needed for different crafts. Many of the crafts will be those listed in the Heritage Craft Association’s Red List of Endangered Crafts.
Also during the weekend, we will have demonstrations of different methods of charcoal burning – from a traditional earth burn to modern mini-kiln methods. Very few craftspeople are associated also with these skills and seeing the range of charcoal burns together is also something not to miss.
A full programme will be published online ahead of the weekend.
Tickets will be available to book approx. 5-6 weeks prior to this event.
