Event Description
Head to Beachy Head Story visitor centre this Winter and be amazed by our beautiful skies. Using Eastbourne Astronomical Society telescopes you will be able to explore the night skies, view the craters on the moon and see the constellations in the night sky. Look out for Pegasus, the famous winged horse and Andromeda, the princess who was the wife of Perseus in Greek mythology.
It is hoped that the largest of the Planets – Jupiter will be available to view, and if lucky you may see up to four of Jupiter's moons. At this time of the year views of beautiful ringed planet Saturn and Venus may also be available as it sets in the west.
At all the stargazing events, a short introductory talk will take place in The Beachy Head Story throughout the evening
The start times change from month to month to accommodate the changing time of the Sun setting.
