Event Description
Surrey Hills Arts’ event, Harvest, is an annual event celebrating the outstanding landscape and view at Box Hill. You are invited to a mass picnic at Donkey Green while multiple choirs sing out across the hills, poets recite their specially created works all around a stunning art installation.
This year the focus is connections. Connections between each other and between us and nature. The art installation ‘Seeds of Hope’ by Diana Burch represents just that. This sustainable artwork is made purely from sticks and recycled yarns. Hundreds of local people, or all ages, backgrounds and abilities have contributed to this piece over the past few months. The mindful act of binding with the wool encouraged contemplation, as well as an openness with others doing the activity.
