The Doodle Carriage – Kent and East Sussex Railway

The Doodle carriage is included in selected trains during the August Summer Holidays.
Kids go free this summer - and there's a free Mr Doodle activity sheet for every child!

Seats in the Doodle carriage are arranged around tables, with space for up to four people at each table. Reserving a table in the Doodle carriage for a journey from Tenterden Town to Bodiam and back costs just £3 in addition to your train tickets.

You are free to break your journey at any station (for example, you might wish to visit Bodiam Castle & return on a later train), but if you do so the seats on your return journey will not be reserved in the Doodle carriage and you are free to sit in any unreserved carriage.

The Doodle carriage is included in trains departing Tenterden Town Station on the dates below at 11:25 & 14:15 and, if you go out & back on the same train, the return journey takes around 1 hour and 50 minutes.

To book, select your chosen date and departure time, then add the number of tables you need (remembering that each one has seating for up to four people). You can then add your adult, senior and child tickets in the next step - and with up to three kids going free this summer with each fare paying adult or senior, it's a great time to visit!
