The Loxwood Joust – Billingshurst

Set in mediaeval England, this immersive festival, brings fun for all the family. Harken to the clash of steel on steel as mighty knights' fight their battles, witness the magnificent, fully armoured jousting knights compete for victory; and let wandering storytellers, entertainers and soaring live music captivate your senses and immerse you in the Kingdom of Loxwood.

Taking place on the 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th August in the Loxwood Meadow; the Loxwood Joust is located just off the B2133 between Wisborough Green and Loxwood. New interactive participation will entice you to become involved in the lives of Lords, Ladies, Knights and common folk; and will you be one to rub shoulders with the Royal court?
Learn from apothecaries and woodland faeries, experience hand fasting ceremonies and barter with the traders in the mediaeval market place. Revel in the Masked Executioner's gory stories, beware the den of Witches, and let young knights and princesses' partake in have-a-go archery, sword school and pelt the peasant in the Children's Kingdom. Then feast at the mediaeval lunchtime banquet... This is a day out like no other!
