Event Description

The historic harbour and seaside town of Whitstable is widely known for its annual Oyster festival, but it has other charms too. On this walk around the town and seafront we will visit the charming gardens of Whitstable Castle, see historic boats, hear about Whitstable's connection with sea diving, pass the former home of Peter Cushing and talk about one of Britain's earliest railways. This is the fourth in a series of walks along the Medway and Kent Coast.

The walk is about 3 miles in total and includes some steps

Whitstable is about 1 hour 15 minute journey from St Pancras station

Please do not come on the event if you are unwell

Please bring water , hand sanitiser and face masks

We will walk at a social distance
