Friday 7 June 2019

June sees the return of Revels Comedy Club featuring some of the very best on the comedy circuit all on your doorstep, at Revelation, Ashford’s No1 Music and Arts venue!

Three top acts feature all hosted by our regular MC, local comedian and vicar, Ravi Holy.

Kate Lucas combines a warm, self-deprecating persona with a dark dry wit that runs through her songs. She combines catchy, original melodies with sophisticated lyrics and a fresh delivery style to present her playfully bitter musings on life.

Kent-based comic and stay at home dad, Tim Powell plays on his fatherhood and anecdotes about children’s fascination with toilet humour which we can all relate to.

In a world where every comedian claims or strives to be unique, headliner, Otiz Cannelloni is just that – and not only because of that questionable name.

Billed a reluctant messiah and man of the people, with an O-level in woodwork, Otiz Cannelloni is probably best summed up as a mix of a crazy entertainer meeting an even madder messed-up magician

“Sheer hilarity that no one wanted to see end.” The Stag

Revels Comedy Club on Friday 7 June 2019 at 8pm is on sale now! You can book your ticket by visiting the website at www.revelationashford.co.uk  or pop into our ticket location at Tourist Information Centre (Ashford Gateway)

About Revelation:

Revelation is Ashford’s music and arts venue, delivered by the St Mary’s Arts Trust. It is a unique and unusual collaboration of heritage and the arts, based in St Mary’s Church.  The church holds considerable historical and architectural significance, with first reference made to it in the Domesday Book in 1086. This historical gem has welcomed communities and culture with the opening of Revelation Since 2011, we have worked hard to establish a centre of excellence for the arts in the town. We now embark upon stage 2 of our mission to be a beacon for the arts, to which Ashford’s growing community can come together and experience high-quality performance and exhibition.
