New album launch – The Beggar’s Prayer by The Mountain Firework Company

About The Hive – enterprise, hot desking and hospitality centre

Due to open in Spring 2019 in the heart of Cranbrook, Kent. The Hive is a new concept which brings together support for local business, high speed internet and food and drink to offer an experience that is designed to encourage interaction and aid the growth of the rural economy.

It is a boutique centre that offers a warm welcome, support services including access to funding, as well as mentoring for business planning and marketing services to those that would like it. We will also offer meeting and presentation facilities, a private dining booth, a chill out area and an Anglo-Greek eatery.

Go Business – Monday to Friday, from 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. we will operate primarily as a business centre.

Go Social – Monday to Friday after 5.00 p.m. we will become a professional social hub.

Go Public – Saturday (from 9.00 a.m.) and Sunday (from 10.00 a.m.) we are open to the whole community.

Within the building we shall also be supporting artists of all forms with exhibitions and have a dedicated business information area so that Weald based organisations can promote themselves.  We will also be holding our own events and hosting events for others.

About the prize

The lucky winners will enjoy a fabulous evening of music at The Mountain Firework Company’s new album launch.

Always guaranteed a good crowd when they have visited Rye in the past, The Mountain Firework Company are returning to Rye for the international debut of their album, “The Beggar’s Prayer” featuring a musical style that takes its influences from folk, blues, Americana and other genres.

This group were a huge hit at both the 2015 and 2017 Rye Arts Festivals, where they attracted many new fans and sold more CDs than any other act before or since! The upbeat, good times music from this band make a perfect backdrop for the often dark lyrics of front man Gareth McGahan.

If you would like to buy tickets you can buy them on-line at  https://ryeartsfestival.org.uk/event/mountain-firework-company/ or leave an answerphone message on the Rye Arts Festival Box Office telephone number: 01797 224 442 or drop into Grammar School Records in the High Street, Rye, TN31 7JF, Monday-Saturday, 10.00am – 5.30pm; Sundays 11.00am – 5.30 p.m.
