Event Description
When We're Gone, You're Gone.
BILL TALBOT w o r k s o n p a p e r , w i t h BAYLISS & THOMPSON, exhibition at 23 Stone Street, Cranbrook.
This pop-up show is a bit 'old school' where one or more artists take over an empty shop (big thanks to Seth of Gullivers) and show a mix of works. It’s supposed to be enjoyable and informal, work is for sale and the artists are there to talk to.
It’s certainly not thematic, I'll have a mix of graf, ‘street’ and social awareness prints including my bees and other project prints, as well as framed ‘one-off’ litho prints. There will be random artist proofs available, a good way to get a large and different artwork.
Martyn works with rare and strange wood, and 'found objects’, designing and making unique furniture and sculptural wall-hanging installations, usually incorporating different media in the finished piece..hoping to bring a steel and wood work-in-progress piece to the show.
Antonia is the ceramicist, an alchemist who designs and ‘makes’ with clay, chemicals and heat..she’s showing ceramic sculptures and I’ve no idea what else Tony Stevens is an engineer and car designer and illustrator,...he’ll be bringing original car and prototype illustrations to the show.
It’s not boring, not a big deal, we’re there to be talked to and the art’s to be talked about..and it’s for sale.
