It's the most wonderful time of the year as the tree-tops begin to glisten and shimmer. This year, for the very first time, a one mile sparkling path winds its way through the National Pinetum in a magical after dark experience.

Greeted by the sights and sounds of Christmas, experience Bedgebury in a whole new light as you wander beneath unique canopies drenched in seasonal colour. Inspired by the landscape itself it is a festive adventure in a world of trees.

The winter trail is a place where fairy-tale meets fantasy with something for everyone. Walk alongside dancing fountains and linger by shimmering reflections that cast light into hidden places. From the delicate and twinkling to the grand and spectacular, continue through the towering Tunnel of Light festooned by over 100,000 pea-lights. Wander beneath wispy curves of flickering light revealing the magic of nature and perhaps steal a kiss at Mistletoe Moment. There are hidden surprises too - watch out for frosty snowflakes, shimmering stars and gigantic baubles where you least expect them. Stroll beneath dainty clusters of neon shards and pause at the flickering flames of the scented Fire Garden for a moment of tranquil reflection.
At the Boardwalk, the giant redwoods are surrounded by a carpet of glowing colour-changing globes. The iconic trees, rising high into the night sky, are brightly illuminated by twinkling lights that dance in time to much-loved Christmas classics.

Why not complete your stroll under the stars with mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst the aroma of roasting chestnuts fills the air. Gather to toast your own marshmallows at one of the fire pits, the little ones can ride the vintage Carousel* or other traditional rides while you treat yourself to some scrummy seasonal fare. Amid all the festive fun don't forget to glimpse Father Christmas and his elf along the way.
