Event Description
With a plot about love, duty and mistaken identity, set in a 19th Century Cornish seaside town and accompanied by some rather iconic songs about a policeman’s lot and a modern Major-General, this show can only be Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance!
Knaphill & St Johns Operatic Group (KASJOG) are delighted to be bringing back to the stage this most popular tale of young Frederic, apprenticed by mistake to a band of pirates. This traditionally staged production includes additional music from Sullivan’s original score in which audiences will be treated to two variations of the sublime Hail Poetry and an amusing musical reference to ‘that infernal nonsense, Pinafore’
