The Big WOW is backing Scotty's Fundraiser Big Time!

We are proud to be backing this fantastic live music evening which is being held to raise money for a very worthwhile cause. Our team has huge admiration for Brain Scott (Scotty) who has unrelenting energy and commitment to making a difference to the lives of young people through Scotty's Retro Classic Car Workshop, which is a registered social enterprise.
Featuring The Tarot Rats and supported by Gallows Circus who have volunteered to perform, the 'Rock and Racing' fundraising event is being held in the heart of Cranbrook at The George Hotel starting at 7.00 p.m. on Saturday 10th November.
Entry is FREE. On the night one can volunteer to buy tickets for £5.00 each which are redeemable for a beer or wine at the bar.
It is hoped that several car clubs and enthusiasts may also attend, including the local group Running Retros. If this event is well supported it is hoped that 'Rock & Racing' will become a regular event which will hopefully evolve into a car cruise night too. '

Scotty's Retro Workshop is a Social Enterprise – A Business with Purpose. It sells classic car parts all over the world to help raise much needed funds to provide FREE practical skills and learning opportunities for Children. It places emphasis on engaging with and supporting children who are struggling in life.
Recently it was gifted a rare historic car, one of only eight of its type and year left in the UK, of which only 5 are road worthy. This car was gifted by a very kind man called David Jerram and so this project is now known as The JERRAM Sprite Project. With this vehicle at the centre of the project, we are currently teaching a number of local children the skills we think they will need to be part of a Pit Crew.
Young Sophie aged 11 can now jack a car up , support it on axle stands , check tyre pressures , refit and torque to the correct settings !!!
With the help of several local enthusiasts, artisans and motor racing Champions Scotty's Retro Workshop wants to restore this car and enter it in the Historic Class D Midget & Sprite Challenge to raise and promote our Societal Objectives. Keeping this very worthy social enterprise going needs funds and so it is calling upon the Classic Car Community and our Local Weald Community to help riase munch need money to continue this great work with disadvantaged children.
