Legendary performer Jon Boden, former frontman of the multi-award winning Bellowhead, one of the most exciting live acts of recent years, returns to tour with his latest band The Remnant Strings. This select ensemble cultivated from the string section of the super group The Remnant Kings features Jon Boden (fiddle, guitars, concertina, stomp-box), Helen Bell (viola), Morven Bryce (violin) and Lucy Revis (cello) expect music from Jon’s solo albums and from across his career including Bellowhead, Spiers & Boden and Folk Song A Day.

Jon Boden has become the ‘stand out performer of his generation’ (The Guardian) of traditional folk artists, but one whose repertoire extends far beyond the boundaries of the genre. Alongside his folk career he also appears in Richard Curtis’s film ‘About Time’ and has contributed music to the score. Autumn 2013 also saw the debut of a new BBC2 comedy series Count Arthur Strong for which Jon composed and performed the signature music. Revelation are delighted to be hosting Jon again for this unique, up-close and personal gig in the heart of Ashford.
