Mercury prize nominee, Kathryn Williams is joining Neill MacColl member of the famous MacColl Folk Dynasty for a stripped back and up-close night in Ashford’s unique venue Revelation.

Williams and MacColl are two of the UK’s most respected and critically acclaimed musicians in their own right. Williams was nominated for the coveted Mercury Music prize in 2000 for her differently exquisite ‘Little Black Numbers’ and has carved out a singular niche for herself across a six-album career with critic’s placing her in line with legendary singer-songwriters Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Dylan.

“Delicious individuality of the soft-as-the-finest-Eiderdown pillow voice and a musical sensibility of bewitching sensitivity.“ BBC Music Review

Many would say that MacColl’s has music ingrained in his blood, as the eldest son of the folk music pioneers Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, half-brother of the late Kirsty, alongside being a composer and producer in his own right. MaColl and Williams formed their unique partnership in 2006 at the Barbican, followed by their critically acclaimed joint album ‘Two’.

“Wonderfully delicate… growing and developing beyond all expectations… breathtaking… exquisitely detailed…” The Independent

Expect an evening with songs from Two, The Kathryn Williams Anthology and a few surprises along the way.
