Nikki from the Rare Breeds Centre kindly invited Big WOW Rebecca, Head of Sales at Big WOW, and her family down to the farm to experience how they celebrate Christmas. Here’s how she got on:
“Upon walking to the entrance Christmas music was playing to get us all in the mood- as if the children weren’t excited enough! It was decorated beautifully for Christmas, my boys particularly loved the huge snowman just inside the entrance and the massive Christmas tree in the animal barn.”
“The farm opened as normal, it always goes down a treat with all ages and this day was no exception.”
“The art workshop was open where you could make table decorations, which I would have loved to do if the boys would have allowed it! There were lots of lovely festive treats at the restaurant. The Christmas cookies were a total hit with the boys plus a there was the full delicious menu running. The staff couldn’t have been any more lovely, we went in there for a bite to eat before seeing Santa and they asked the boys if they were excited!”
“At 11:15 AM we were booked in to see the big jolly man himself. The grotto was again decorated amazingly, and running on time which is also a massive positive tick with three excitable boys in tow. A group of about fifteen of us all went in, we all took a seat and then the magic really began with a great performance that started with two cheeky elves: Parsnip and Sprout, Father Christmas and the Mischievous Snowman. There were jokes, questions, fun interaction with the children and snowball fights! There was singing and lots of laughs from both adults and children- the atmosphere was festive and perfect for the whole family.”
“Then, each family got called up to sit in Santa’s sleigh to have a bit of a chat with Father Christmas and the elves. There was a professional photographer on hand to capture the moment who was also very reasonably priced.”
“My family and I were blown away by the decorations and attention to detail, we can’t recommend the experience enough. Well done Rare Breeds Centre, and thank you for giving our Christmas a very special start. My boys loved it, and moments like that are such a special blessing. We then went home, full of the Christmas spirit and had to put up our Christmas tree straight away!”
